Noah & The Flood

The story of Noah is found in the book of Genesis (Chapters 6 - 9) of the Old Testament.  God saw how great wickedness had become on earth and wanted to wipe away the sin from the earth.  Noah was told by God to build an ark for him and his family in preparation for a flood that would destroy everything on earth.  God also told Noah to bring into the ark, two of all living creatures, along with food.   For 40 days and nights, rain fell over the earth.  After a year Noah was able to come out of the ark and built an altar and worshiped God.  Later God established a covenant with Noah, saying that never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.  As a sign of this God gave us rainbows.
