Mahatma Gandhi Coloring Pages

Mahatma Gandhi (born Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi) was the leader of Indian Nationalism in British-ruled India.  He employed a nonviolent civil disobedience in order to lead India in independence.  He inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the whole world.  The name Mahatma (meaning high-souled in Sanskrit) was given to him in 1914 in South Africa.  He is also called Bapu, which is a term of endearment for father in India.  Gandhi is unofficially seen as the "father of India".
