The story of Joseph is found in the New Testament in the book of Genesis.  Joseph was the son of Jacob.  Joseph's brothers were upset and jealous of Joseph and threw him into a pit and sold him as a slave into Egypt.  Joseph later became an important person to the Pharaoh.
